Angela Langer, LLC · Coaching

Coaching Agreement & Terms

Please read both parts before booking. They cover coaching with Angela Langer through Angela Langer, LLC, including 1:1 ADHD coaching, the Clarity Assessment and the Radical Unmasking bootcamp. You'll be asked to confirm that you agree when you book.

Part 1 · Coaching Agreement

This agreement has two parts that work together:

  1. This Coaching Agreement sets out how we work together, what each of us commits to, and how your information is protected.
  2. The Coaching Terms & Conditions cover the practical side: fees, scheduling, cancellations, payment and liability.

Please read both. When you sign this agreement or pay for a coaching service, you agree to both documents.

What coaching is

Coaching is a collaborative, forward-focused partnership. Together we look at how your brain works, where you get stuck, and what helps you move forward. Then we build practical strategies, systems and skills you can use in daily life.

In this agreement, "partnership" means a working alliance between coach and client. It is not a legal business partnership.

Coaching may cover areas such as:

  • Executive functioning skills: identifying and leveraging strengths
  • Communicating more effectively: your needs and boundaries at work and at home
  • Understanding your ADHD symptoms and patterns
  • Noticing where you mask, and practicing being seen and heard
  • Building systems and routines that fit the way you are actually wired

Coaching is educational and skills-based. You are the expert on your own life. I bring structure, tools, perspective and accountability.

Coaching is not therapy

Coaching is a non-clinical service. I am a licensed mental health professional in Minnesota, but when I work with you as a coach, I am not acting as your therapist. You are not entering a therapist-client relationship.

That means coaching:

  • Does not include evaluating, diagnosing or treating any mental health condition, including ADHD
  • Is not psychotherapy, counseling, medical care or substance use treatment, and does not replace any of these
  • Is not a crisis service
  • Is not billed to, or reimbursed by, health insurance
  • Is not governed by the rules that apply to my licensed therapy practice, including the records and privacy rules for therapy

The Clarity Assessment is a functional, non-clinical assessment. It maps how your strengths, weaknesses and workarounds link together and show up in your daily life. It is not a diagnostic evaluation, and its written summary is not a clinical report.

Coaching and therapy stay separate. I do not provide coaching and therapy to the same person at the same time. I do not coach anyone I have seen for therapy within the past 2 years. If you would like therapy, I am happy to talk about referrals.

If clinical needs come up. If it becomes clear that therapy or medical care would serve you better, I will tell you. We may pause coaching while you get that support, or continue alongside it if coaching still fits.

In an emergency, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911. Do not use coaching messages, email or texts for urgent help.

Your commitments

By acknowledging, you confirm that:

  1. You are responsible for your own choices, actions and results, both during sessions and between them. You can stop coaching at any time.
  2. You understand that coaching is a professional, non-clinical relationship. It is designed to help you set goals and build practical ways to reach them.
  3. You will show up as fully as you can: arriving on time, being present in sessions, and doing the between-session practice you agree to.
  4. Coaching may touch many parts of your life, including work, relationships, money and health. How you act on what we discuss is your decision. For legal, financial, medical or mental health matters, you will seek advice from a qualified professional.
  5. You will not use coaching in place of diagnosis, therapy, medical care or substance use treatment.
  6. If you are currently working with a therapist, psychiatrist or other health care provider, you have consulted them (or intend to) about working with a coach, and they are aware of your decision to proceed with coaching.
  7. You will tell me if something isn't working, so we can adjust.

My commitments

As your coach, I will work with you toward goals we agree on together, which may include:

  • Clarifying priorities at work and in life
  • Strengthening executive functioning skills
  • Communicating your needs more confidently
  • Improving emotion regulation and rejection sensitivity
  • Developing a deep and holistic understanding of your ADHD
  • Noticing where you mask, and building tolerance for being seen and heard

As your coach, I will also:

  • Give you my full attention in our sessions, with honest feedback, useful tools and a neurodivergent-affirming approach
  • Provide compassionate accountability in service of the goals you set
  • Answer messages as soon as possible and within 1 business day, Monday through Friday
  • Keep what you share confidential, as described below
  • Tell you if I believe therapy, medical care or another professional would serve you better, and help with referrals where I can

I cannot promise specific results. Progress depends on many things, many of them outside a coaching session. What I can promise is a thoughtful, structured space to experiment and grow.

Confidentiality and privacy

What you share in coaching stays between us. I will not share your information, or name you as a client or reference, without your written permission.

Coaching conversations are confidential by professional ethics. They are not legally privileged the way conversations with a doctor, lawyer or therapist can be.

Exceptions to confidentiality. In rare situations, the law or professional ethics may require me to share information without your permission. These situations include, but are not limited to:

  • If you tell me you intend to seriously harm yourself or someone else
  • If I learn of abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult. As a licensed professional in Minnesota, I may be required to report this even in a coaching role.
  • If a court orders me to release information

If any of these ever happens, I will share only what is required and, where I can, talk with you first.

Consultation. I may discuss coaching situations with other coaching professionals for supervision or training. When I do, I leave out your name and any details that could identify you.

Group programs. In the Radical Unmasking bootcamp, you agree to keep what other members share private. I ask every member to do the same, but I cannot guarantee what other participants do.

Notes and records. I keep brief coaching notes to support our work. They are not clinical records. I store them securely for 3 years after coaching ends, then delete them. You may ask for a copy of your notes at any time.

Ending coaching

Either of us may end this agreement at any time by letting the other know in writing. Email is fine. Fees for sessions already held, and any refund questions, are covered in the Coaching Terms & Conditions below.

Part 2 · Terms & Conditions

These terms cover the practical side of coaching with Angela Langer through Angela Langer, LLC. They go together with the Coaching Agreement above, which explains how we work together and why coaching is a non-clinical service, not therapy.

Who these terms cover

In these terms, "you" means the client: the person receiving coaching.

Sometimes someone else pays, such as an employer or family member. That person is the payor. The payor agrees to the fees, payment and refund terms here. The client agrees to all of these terms and to the Coaching Agreement. A payor does not receive any information about coaching sessions unless the client gives written permission. If you pay for your own coaching, you are both client and payor.

Services and fees

All coaching takes place by video, so you can join from anywhere.

  • 1:1 ADHD coaching: 45-minute video session, $200 per session
  • Coaching packages: Clarity Assessment + 12 individual sessions to be used within 90 days of purchase, $2,500; or Clarity Assessment + 8 individual sessions to be used within 60 days of purchase, $1,999
  • Clarity Assessment: functional, non-clinical assessment sessions plus a written summary, $650
  • Radical Unmasking bootcamp: 8-week group coaching bootcamp for women with ADHD to understand their ADHD, quiet the inner critic and rediscover their dreams, $1,750

Fees may change. I will give current clients at least 30 days' notice before any change applies to them.

Scheduling and sessions

You book your own sessions through my online scheduler. Many clients find a regular day and time easiest, and you are welcome to book a recurring slot.

  • Video link: Your booking confirmation includes the video link. Please join from a private, quiet space where you can talk freely.
  • Running late: Sessions end at the scheduled time, even if we start late on your end. If I am late, I will make up the time or adjust your fee.
  • Technical problems: If the connection fails on either side, we will reconnect or finish by phone. If we can't, I will reschedule the missed time at no charge.
  • Recording: Neither of us will record sessions without the other's written consent.

Between sessions

You are welcome to send short updates or questions by email between sessions. I aim to reply within 1 business day, except during holidays, vacations and planned time off. Messages are for quick check-ins and accountability, not extra sessions, and never for emergencies.

Rescheduling and cancellations

Please give at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. You can do this through the scheduler link in your confirmation email.

  • With 48 hours' notice: no charge. Rescheduled sessions should take place within two weeks of the original date.
  • Under 48 hours' notice, or a missed session: the full session fee is charged. If you have a package, the session counts as used.
  • Emergencies happen: If you miss a session because of a genuine emergency or illness, let me know. I will waive the fee at my discretion, once per package.
  • If I need to cancel: I will give as much notice as I can and reschedule at no cost to you.
  • Group sessions: Radical Unmasking bootcamp sessions run on a fixed schedule. Missed group sessions are not made up or refunded. Materials from missed sessions are shared on the course portal.

Packages and expiration

  • Package sessions must be used within your package's time frame: 90 days from purchase for the 12-session package, or 60 days from purchase for the 8-session package. Unused sessions expire after that date and are not refunded.
  • Clarity Assessment sessions should be completed within 60 days of booking. You receive your written summary within 10 business days of the debrief session.
  • If I cancel a session, it carries forward and your expiration date moves out to match.
  • Extenuating circumstances, such as a hospital stay or family emergency: tell me, and we will agree on a fair way forward.

Pausing

If you will be away or unavailable for more than two weeks, let me know as early as you can. We can pause a package and extend its expiration date by up to 30 days.

Payment

Payment is due when you book, through the secure online scheduler. Packages and the bootcamp are paid in full up front or in 2 installments.

Insurance: Coaching is a non-clinical service, so it is not billed to health insurance. I do not provide superbills, diagnosis codes or other insurance paperwork for coaching.

Refunds

Coaching fees are non-refundable once a session has taken place. Before that:

  • 1:1 sessions and packages: Unused package sessions can be refunded within 14 days of purchase, minus the full fee for any sessions already held.
  • Clarity Assessment: Full refund if you cancel before your first session. No refund after the assessment begins.
  • Radical Unmasking bootcamp: Full refund if you withdraw at least 14 days before the start date. After that, no refund, but you may transfer your spot to a future cohort.
  • If I end coaching, for any reason, you receive a refund for any prepaid sessions not yet held.

Emails and updates

I will email you about scheduling and practical changes to your coaching, such as new hours or time off. You can also choose to opt in to receive news about events and new programs. I add you only if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Coaching materials

Worksheets, frameworks, recordings and other materials I share are for your personal use. Please don't copy, sell or share them publicly without my written permission.

Limits of liability

  • No guarantees. I cannot promise specific outcomes from coaching. Your results depend on many things, including your own choices and actions.
  • Your decisions are yours. You are responsible for the choices you make during and after coaching.
  • Liability cap. To the extent the law allows, my total liability to the client or payor is limited to the fees paid for coaching services in the 3 months before a claim. I am not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
  • Not professional advice. Coaching is not legal, financial, medical or mental health advice.

Resolving disagreements

If a problem comes up, please tell me first. Most things can be sorted out with a conversation. If we can't resolve it within 30 days, we agree to try mediation in good faith before taking any other step. Mediation costs are shared equally. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota.

The full agreement

These terms and the Coaching Agreement are the whole agreement between us about coaching. They replace any earlier written or spoken understandings. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. I may update these terms. Changes apply to new purchases, and I will tell current clients at least 30 days in advance.

Accepting these terms

By booking or paying for any coaching service, and by checking the agreement box when you book, you confirm that you have read this Coaching Agreement and these Terms & Conditions, that you understand coaching is not therapy, and that you agree to both.
