Then you find yourself falling through the cracks: appearing to be high-functioning, but not well enough to keep up with the life everyone else seems to have with ease. Capable enough to be overlooked, and strong enough to keep going even when the system fails you completely.
The reality is that too many brilliant, tenacious women are exhausting themselves grinding through a system that wasn't built for how their brains actually work. They end up burnt-out by middle age — often with feelings of isolation, loneliness and failure.
